The Medway Public Health team beat seven other teams on the way to winning the 2011 Medway Business Games football event.

The event took place at Kicks Soccer Centre (www.kicks-soccer.co.uk) where up to 80 competitors representing eight teams battled it out in two leagues of four. The top two teams in each group progressed to the semi-final stage.

Medway Public Health team beat MidKent College 2 4-0 to progress to the final, and in the other semi-final, Medway Employ Medway won 5-0 against MidKent College 1 to gain their place.

The final saw a very evenly balanced match, with Medway Public Health Team just edging the result 2-1 to be crowned champions.

The competition was run with the help and support of Kicks Soccer Centre, Strood. If you would like to find out more about the facility and five-a-side football leagues, please email kicks@medway.gov.uk or phone 0800 9884257.
