Sport Makers workshops set for Medway Park

Sport Makers logoMedway Park will be hosting a Sport Makers workshop on Wednesday, 7 March 2012 from 6.30pm to 9pm.

Sport Makers is a national programme which aims to recruit people to help organise and support sport for those aged 16 and older. They are looking to recruit 40,000 people from across the country and everyone has a chance to get involved.

Whether it's planning the route, finding the pitch or encouraging people to take part, sport doesn't just happen. Coaches and volunteers work tirelessly to enable others to take part, and Sport Makers wants to find more people to help.

Workshops, where you can find out more, are being planned across the UK and Medway Park is proud to be hosting one. Visit www.sportmakers.co.uk to book your place, either by selecting Kent or using the postcode search.

Workshop attendees can pick up a free Adidas polo shirt and shoe bag. Once you've attended, the challenge is to complete 10 hours of sport-making activity; those that do could secure tickets to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
