BOA chairman to lecture in Medway

Picture of BOA Chairman Lord MoynihanThe chairman of the British Olympic Association is to give a open lecture in Medway, it has been announced.

Lord Moynihan will be speaking at the University of Kent's campus on Wednesday, 19 October on the theme of what lies in store for the Olympic Movement in the 21st Century.

Colin Moynihan is also a member of the Olympic Board and a non-executive director of The London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and The Paralympic Games. 

He was a member of the International Olympic Committee’s 2009 Congress Editorial Committee, its 2016 Working Group and is currently a member of the IOC International Relations Commission.

The former rower won a silver medal in the 1980 Olympic Games. He was also a gold medallist in the Lightweight Rowing World Championships in 1978 and silver medallist at the 1982 World Championships.

The talk takes place in the Pilkington Lecture Theatre 1 at 6pm. It is an open lecture and no booking is required.
