Medway's Big Night Out

Medway's Big Night Out started at 8pm, immediately after the
Medway Mile 2012, when the Rochester Castle Gardens was
transformed into an official London 2012 Community Live
Site, complete with a big screen for everyone to watch the
Opening Ceremony and to celebrate together the arrival of
the Games in London in our own carnival atmosphere.
Those who came became part of the Olympic experience, jand oined
in with Medway's celebrations for an evening of family
entertainment, live music, circus entertainers, funfair and
attractions.
As it was a family event and the screening is likely to go on
until past midnight, those turning up needed to be aware that
Rochester Castle Gardens was an alcohol-free zone for the
entire evening.
